Using existing towers, building new ones, incorperating existing technologies, and renewing our desire to have the best of the best, which used to exist in Texas and America, we can achieve 100% renewable energy in 10 years.
My Plan is a 3 tier system: 1) Texas Power Grid energy system, enough to easily cover all of Texas' needs; 2) A Community Power Generation Project, building power generators that supply a local area; 3) Personal Power Initiative, bringing power generation to the masses. It incorporates several measures to cover virtually every aspect of power supply, storm evacuation and response, unemployement, and eventually even Transportation, all with safety and security being built into the system.
Texas Power Grid
We will use the existing "windmill" towers and replace the tri-vane "windmills" with a string of Double-Helix Wind Generators*, building new ones when that's done. The Turbines will incorporate the Solar Cell technology so that we are generating power two ways, dramatically raising efficiency and output. We will need enough to meet or exeed the estimated power needs of Texas at the finish of the project.
Evert aspect of the job will be done in state that can be reasonably accomplished. Everything from manufacturing, production, supply, installation, and maintanence will be done by a Texas State Workforce (TSW) that hires Texans first and Americans second. With this we will build the factories, retrain the people, and create work communities at the site that handle all the amenities.
When this project is finished, the excess energy can then be sold to the surrounding states and Mexico.
Community Power Generation Project
Local and small communities, that are by necessity of majority the last to get service provided, will be encouraged and assited by the TSW (where capable) to build a small Energy Generation Station(EGS). These local EGS centers will consist of a variety of available power generation methods, wind, solar, wave, Methane Recapturing*, and Solar-Hydrogen* hybrid systems. They will only be required to meet the need of the present and near future use of their community, but by allowing excess energy to be sold back to the grid, there will be an incentive to produce a bit more.
Personal Power Initiative
The PPI is set up to encourage and/or support the developement and installation of home-based power generation, truly giving the "Power to the People". Using systems that will function in their personal enviroment, the average homeowner will be able to meet their energy needs, and as with the communities, any excess power can be sold to the grid. Though a few people will be able to use wind turbines or wave generators*, the average homeowner will have solar and Solar-Hydrogen hydrid systems.
It would also be a good idea, in areas where the enviroment can sustain it, to encourage the installation of cisterns, water wells, and rain capturing systems. The PPI is a total power initiative, its aim is to empower the people to be able to be self-sufficient and self-reliant. True freedom comes when people control the supply of their own necessities, when their needs are in their hands. The true focus of this project is to remove the People from the disposable society we have become and put them back into a self-sustainable one.
With the implementation of this three tiered system and the Transportation Texas Project(TTP), Texas will be the first state to be 100% Renewable Energy, 100% energy sufficient, and 100% employed.
