Civil Employee 4 day work week

Utah has tried an experiment that looks very promising, a 4-day work week for government employees.  Though the Utah Governor is just now gathering data on how the Public likes the new change, the economic savings numbers are in.

Utah saved $4.1 million in the first year on overtime savings alone.  They saved an additional $502,000 in energy reduction and saved $200,000 on janitorial services.  The total savings for the year; $4.8 mil.

I am very interested to see how the people are liking this new system, and providing it has favorable public support, I would like to try this in Texas.  I don't see any reason that another state can do better than we can.  After all, "Everything is Bigger and Better in Texas!"
