Maybe I haven't been clear in stating my plans for Texas and their eventual outcome. Maybe I have been too subtle in the direction that my entire "Plan" is heading. Maybe my site is too big and no one can find it.
Life is Energy, whether you believe in Creation or the "Big Bang & Evolution, energy is the most important condition of all existence.
Answer this simple question; What is the most necessary thing you need to stay alive?
Most would answer Air, or Food and Water, some ridiculous people would even say Sex. A smarter person might venture Pressure, which honestly would be close, it comes in 2nd. The answer is Heat, which by definition is a measurement of the energy of Atoms. At 3o Kelvin, the average temperature of Space, you would be dead long before depressurization, dehydration, starvation, and certainly lack of Sex, which is not fatal at all, as it turns out.
Energy is Life!
Without energy our brains don't communicate with the body, muscles cannot function at all, everything which exists becomes locked into that position, forever. So, if it is the most necessary component of life, then giving people access to energy gives them access to life. Access to freedom and possibilities, access to the needs and wants of a person, access to the absolute #1 component to do anything in this world.
The basic needs we have in our near future are this:
1) We need to stop the consumption of natural resources and recycle everything
2) We need to go to a Fuel or Energy source that has 0 Toxic Emissions & is 100% Sustainable
3) We need to gear everything for the ascension into Space and begin to manufacture the things we need to exist there.
4) We need to implement and practice the Procedures and Policies that would be necessary to exist in Space and on other-world Colonies
For all of these things we need Time to accomplish the goals. Right now, we are not headed in the right direction, and time looks to be getting shorter every day.
By cleaning up the environment we buy time before the Climate is too erratic or toxic for Human advancement. You don't really think we can live in caves or underground and continue to advance with the eventual ascension to Space, do you? We will be so busy developing ways to stay alive, that Space Research will become a Fairy Tale.
By recycling, we not only preserve the Natural Resources and curtail pollution, but we get into the habit of doing the necessary procedures that we will have to learn to utilize in Space. We will not have the luxury of just throwing things away and making another. There is a virtually endless supply of resources in Space, but they are a little hard to reach and consume vital resources just to get, process, and store them. And the Learning Curve that living in Space will require doesn't give us the luxury of waiting until we get there to learn how to do it properly.
To some of you this seems radical or premature, but think of the things that have come about in just the last 40 years that NO ONE thought would happen; The Fall of the Soviet Union, the Socialization of America, Homosexuality becoming "mainstream", China dominating American imports and virtually owning S. America, the Twin Towers and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. No one was predicting this in 1970.
Most American's tap water has "acceptable levels" of toxic chemicals in them, is there such a thing? Rivers and Bays are polluted to the point that Human's can die from drinking them. Pollution has become a major issue in every metropolitan area in America, from Landfills to Air Quality. Radioactive waste is filling up the depositories and leaking into our environment. Even thrown away computers are poisoning people around the world.
The "End is in Sight"? Tell that to the people that were waiting for Exxon to install EPA demanded pollution equipment 15 years ago, not there and not happening any time soon, thanks G W Bush.
Whether you believe in Global Warming or not, you cannot argue that pollution and deforestation are bad. It doesn't have to destroy the world to kill Human's every day. Or cause Birth Defects and Tumors, extinction of entire Species, or a change in the weather which leads to aridification - turning once fertile fields to deserts.
So my "Plan" is to buy us the time we need, teach ourselves the procedures and policies we must utilize, and give us time to practice them and become proficient in them before they are a life-and-death issue in Space. In the process the world's health increases - we are not decimating species of plants and animals, and our health increases from both the exercise from the effort and the cleaning of our environment.
We can pretend that the world is not changing, but the fact is, that we are overcrowded, over polluted, and on the verge of WW3. Man needs an outlet for His frustration and we need to leave the nest, it's time people. We are at the Crux of our journey, whether to choose to leave the nest and ascend to the next level, or whether to remain on Earth and die in our own Feces.
My "Plan" addresses so many of the issues now facing us, so many of the issues in our near future. I do not see one other person running for office that seems to have a true grasp of the situation. I hope we can survive long enough for people to realize the predicament and start voting in candidates that understand and have ideas to solve the problems, not policies to further careers.
